Little Red Riding Hood? (Derek & Nell)

It was a beautiful day out and Nell couldn't bare staying in the house anymore, even though her father didn't really approve of her going outside. She'd taken her bike from the garage and just started peddling without knowing where she was going. She'd ended up riding into the woods and she smiled as she saw the sunrays shining through the leaves turning them a bright green. She was enjoying the warm feeling of the sun just as somebody stepped onto the dirt road, forcing her to quickly hit the brakes, her bike skidding to a halt. An older man, maybe a bit older than her dad, stood before her, a smirk on his face as he looked at her. "Hey, there pretty little lady! Where are you going so fast?" he said and got closer to her, putting his hands on the steering wheel of her bike. Nell began feeling uncomfortable, as the man looked her up and down, stopping at her bare thighs as she was wearing shorts and a tank top. She looked up and down the road, wishing and hoping there might be other people walking nearby. "Just taking a ride!" she said hesitantly to the man and twitched as he put his hand on her arm, starting to stroke her skin.

Derek was taking his normal run through the woods, when he heard a bicycle not far away. It was odd, because people didn't usually wonder this far into the woods. He paused, slowing down his pace. A familiar scent filled the air, as he jogged closer. It was Nell. The girl he was trying to persuade to receive the bite, and hadn't heard from in a while. His ears perked up, as he heard a strange mans voice talking to her. He could sense the fear coming from her, but he stayed back. He didn't want to intrude unless the man did something that could potentially harm her. He layed his back against a nearby tree, and focused his ears on the two.

The man grinned at Nell, revealing yellow teeth, and kept stroking her arm. "Don't you know young girls shouldn't wander away from home on their own? Something bad could happen!" he said, but he sounded like he was mocking her. Nell looked at him nervously, wishing she could take her phone and send a text to her dad or Stiles. Suddenly, the stranger pushed Nells bike to the ground and grabbed her arm, pulling her away from the road and into the ditch. He dragged her a few feet into the woods as she was strugglinf and screaming in fear. Nell felt dried leaves crush underneath her as the man shoved her to the ground. He leaned over her and ripped her shirt open, the buttons flying in all directions as Nell started sobbing. "Don't bother screaming! Noone will hear you!" the man said with a grin as he unbuckled his belt.

Derek quickly bolted towards the man, as he pushed Nell down in the ditch. His wolf reflexes started to kick in, as he dodged several tree branches. He jumped over a fallen tree, and slowed down as he neared the action. The man ripped off her shirt, and that's when he knew that he definitely had to step in. Derek had shifted, during his sudden change in pace, so his strength was at it's peak. He slowly approached the man. Grabbing him by the shoulders, he slung the man backwards, causing him to fall to the ground. "What exactly do you think you're doing?" Derek turned his attention towards Nell. His blood-red eyes shone through the shadows of the woods. "Are you okay?"

Nell lay there on the ground shaking after Derek had pulled that creep off of her. She grabbed at her shirt to cover her chest and looked up at her savior. She started sitting up but put her head back down when she noticed everything around her was spinning and she felt a throbbing pain in her head. "No, I'm not! Why did he do that?" she said with a shaky voice in between sobs.

Derek sighed, and walked up to her. He bent down, and placed his hand behind her head to support it. "Because he's an ass who has nothing better to do." He shifted back into human form, and looked down at her. "Let me help." He looked down at his hand, as he re-positioned it. He was going to take some of her pain away.
His eyes traveled to his arm, as the blackness started flowing through his veins. His teeth clenched slightly, as some of the pain was transferring to his body. "You might not want to travel this far into the woods next time." He gently removed his hand from behind her head. "Do you think you can sit up?

Nell was surprised at how gentle Derek was with her. She was confused when she felt some of her pain go away as the werewolf was holding her wrist. She looked at Derek's arm in shock as it was turning black for a few seconds and he seemed to be in agony. "What did you just do?" she asked and sat up. As she did, blood started dripping from her nose and onto her white shirt.

Derek pulled a cloth from his pocket, and handed it to her to stop her nose from bleeding. "It's just a little thing werewolves do to help someone, or something, from being in too much pain. Nothing big." He shrugged, then looked over to where he had thrown the man, who had already left. "Looks like someone didn't stick around long." He laughed quietly, then turned his attention back to Nell.

Nell took the cloth that Derek handed her and held it to her nose. "Thanks!" she said quietly and looked at where the man had been. "Thank you Derek! I don't even wanna imagine what would have happened if you wouldn't have come!" she said and bend forward to give him a brief hug

Derek nodded. "You're welcome." He was taken aback by her hug, but he returned it. "You would've been violated by a creep, and then left to die in a ditch." He stood up, and brushed the dirt from his clothes. "Are you strong enough to walk? I know you don't want to stay here all day."

Nell swallowed heavily as Derek spoke so directly about what the stranger would have done to her. She stood up, feeling a bit shaky on her legs. "Yeah, I think I'll be fine!" she said nodding

Derek bit his lip. "Are you sure? You don't look to good." He put is arm out for her to grab for support. She seemed very wobbly, and unstable. "I could just carry you if you'd like." and he meant that.

Nell was gonna say that she was going to be okay but she nearly fell to the floor again before held on to Derek's arm. "Fine! Maybe I'm not okay after all!" she said with a nervous grin. "Am I not too heavy for you?" she asked

Derek nodded. "That's what I thought." He chuckled a little, picking her up gently. "That's a very stupid question to ask a werewolf." He adjusted his hands under her knees, and behind her head.

Nell shrieked a bit as Derek picked her up and held her in his arms. It really seemed like nothing to him, carrying her around like this. She wrapped her arms around his neck for support. "I'll have to pick up my bike later!" she said

Derek let out a sigh when Nell shriek. She was extremely light. He chuckled a little when she commented about her bike. "Don't worry about it. I'll come back and get it later." He began walking out of the ditch. He was planning on taking her to the Depot, to get her cleaned up, and to talk with her.

Nell nodded and looked at her bike, thinking back to that creep again. She felt a bit uncomfortable about being carried around like that. She thought it must look like she was an arrogant diva. "So, what were you doing in the woods?" she asked

Derek continued walking at a steady pace. Her questions made him think. What was he doing in the woods? "I was just taking a run." That was the half truth, but at least he wasn't lying. He dodged a few tree branches, being careful not to drop Nell at the same time. They've almost approached the depot now, and he started to walk slower.

Derek's chest felt very warm and Nell actually felt quite comfortable being in his arms. She had the feeling she could almost fall asleep as she felt pretty exhausted. She began blinking and had to suppressed a yawn but it didn't help, she slipped away into sleep in Derek's arms
